The Special Delivery Club (CPNP)
Always something new and fun to do, this Bright Starts program is a support group for pregnant women and women with children up to 6 months of age. It’s a Canada Prenatal Nutrition Program (CPNP) that offers women free vitamins and food, along with helpful information about pregnancy, birth, nutrition, lifestyle issues and parenting. The Special Delivery Club runs once a week in Haliburton village; transportation and childcare is provided.

Groups, Workshops & Special Events (CAPC)
The Bright Starts Community Action Program for Children (CAPC), offers parents of children ages birth to six lots of opportunities to come together to share ideas and learn more about parenting. Whether your child is starting to crawl or starting school, a Bright Starts group, workshop or special event, can give you the information and support you need to help make parenting easier and fun! Give yourself a fun break; find out what’s running in your community!

School’s Cool (CAPC)
If your child is between the ages of 3 – 5, you might be wondering about whether he or she is ready for school. School’s Cool is a fun children’s program that has helped hundreds of Haliburton County children enter school more confident and ready to learn. School’s Cool is a national program that was created right here in Haliburton County and is proven to increase children’s language, reasoning, social and self-help skills.
