Are you or a loved one challenged by or struggling with a life-threatening illness like cancer, stroke, or Alzheimer’s? Are you grieving the loss of a family member or close friend?

Community Hospice
SIRCH Community Hospice has someone you can talk to - someone who understands.

SIRCH Community Hospice provides a variety of programs and services to: individuals with a life-threatening illness, families of palliative clients, individuals and families affected by Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, and to those who are grieving or bereaved. Community Hospice has so much to offer to you and your loved ones:

  • One-to-one in-home volunteer support
  • Group support
  • Individual counseling
  • Information & lending library
  • Educational events
  • Referrals to other services

"Few Canadians are prepared to deal with a life-threatening illness, and only one in five seriously ill Canadians receives Hospice palliative care. So often, by the time people find out about their local hospice, they and their family members are already in crisis - trying to deal with the death of a loved one and not knowing where to turn."

(Hospice Association of Ontario)

SIRCH Hike for Hospice 2010 a great success! (click here to see the Haliburton County Echo article)
